Kevin70
These are numbers 8, 9, and 10. I still have a long way to go before I'm kicking out respectable work, so don't laugh (I'll take a few giggles, but please don't point and laugh hysterically). I just started with the fins using stencils, but I need to use clear stencils so I can better see where to place them. http://www.tackleunderground.com/photos/file.php?n=2206&w=l http://www.tackleunderground.com/photos/file.php?n=2205&w=l http://www.tackleunderground.com/photos/file.php?n=2204&w=l
Yake Bait
You're doing great. Can't believe that you only have painted 10 baits. Those are done very well!

Hoodaddy
OK here goes:lolhuh:.........:whistle:Alright is that enough ???? Only kidding they look real good. You're really getting the hang of it with only 9-10 paint jobs under your belt. Must be one of those dang fast learners again
Kevin70
Oh no, no, NOOOOOOO!!! When I say 8, 9, and 10. I mean the only the one's I would accually show to others. If you only knew how many paint jobs I have stripped off with acetone, and I won't even get into the "chrome spray paint" fiasco that nearly got me beaten with a rolling pin. But I will keep plugging away, and I thank you guys for the engouragement. P.S. If you ever see chrome paint at your local hardware retailer....for your own sanity and safety.....leave it on the shelf.
fatfingers
and I won't even get into the "chrome spray paint" fiasco that nearly got me beaten with a rolling pin. I had one lure done and ready for clear. I looked at it and thought to myself, "This time I think I finally did one I can be satisfied with." I reached down for the clear and grabbed the wrong airbrush. I let fly and covered one entire side of the bait...with primer white. You're baits look great. Keep on truckin'... Vodkaman
Kevin, I know what you mean with the chrome spray. I bought some to try, it went on nice. It didn't look like chrome, more like the dull side of aly foil, but still metalic. I then coated it with epoxy, this killed it and it turned out a boring mid-grey. Not to mention all the compatability problems and drying times! The lures look great.
