reefaddiction
Here are my first pours with the divided pyrex cup. The top two are what 90% are, the bottom two I squeezed to hard on the color bottle and they are heavy on color. Thank god it was only the last four that where left in batch. The white color was a pain to pour with lurecraft white? I don't know why but I remebering hearing it on hear some where. Let me know what you think. pastorshane
looks nice, make sure the cup is hot on bottom and inside and the white will pour fine. Always works for me.
bhorlings
Looks good!!!!! Both sets of colors could work in different situations. Can you post pics of the cup? I was at Lowe's tonight looking at the roof flashing. I saw black 5"x7" aluminum sheets but they were $32 for 100 piences. Is anyone using the rolling flashing and cutting it down. Sorry... don't mean to hijack the post.

reefaddiction
I used a piece of metal from a roll on aluminum. I'm in construction so we have a it laying around. Find a siding contractor in your area and I'm sure they have scrap they throw away. If search there are pictures of the cup in the froums. stratmanv
Here is my first attempt with new divided cup. I also used painted flashing. Oddly I am not getting the swirl effect, but am getting a pretty decent laminate.
Uncleskippy
stratmanv, Use Del's idea and put the mold on a "Lazy-Susan" type device to spin your mold while you are pouring it.
stratmanv
That's a great idea. I assume the challenge with that is centering the cavity on-axis. Anyone else try that with success? Any tips?
Gloomisman
freaking awsome
BBC
I've done a lot of experimenting with this. You can get different amounts of swirling depending on how the divider is cut at the pouring spout. If you let the different colors meet before coming out of the pouring spout you'll get more of a laminate effect. If you bring the divider to the end of the pouring spout you'll get more of a swirled effect throughout the bait. That is my experience at least. I have a couple different cups with the divider cut differently at the pouring spout and I can get different effects depending on which cup I use. Hope that made sense. stratmanv
Actually I think you are on the money. My divider comes up about a 1/4 inch short of the beginning of the pour spout and the 2 colors meet and flow side by side. I will try making one with the divider higher into the spout and see what happens. Thanks for the insight.
bhorlings
I plan on doing my first pours tonight. Sounds like I am going to get a laminate effect since my flashing comes up short on the cup too. I am using the painted flashing also. I picked up a 10 pack for $3.50ish at Menards yesterday. fishnfu
This is a great way to pour. Allthough i am still new to all this, i will have to toy around and see what i can pour with a divided cup. I am sure it will make some awsome Black/Grape curley tails!!! bhorlings
Okay... Got away from the wife for a few. She's 8 months pregnant and napping... Here is a pic of my first multi-pour with the cup I made. The only problem I had was that the JB Weld kind of chipped away a little in the cup. I think it was because I was using a 1 cup pyrex cup and the area to stir was a little small. What do you guys think? I think I am going to call it bronzeback.
