I just bought one for my Iwata Hi-Line from Dixie and it was $40 something after shipping. (Note to self: Do not drop air brush nose first onto hard conter top agian.) ernel Posted February 28, 2008 Report Share Posted February 28, 2008 I use the needle itself. I put the needle in and spin it a little then wipe clean. Repeat until needle is clean and spins freely. I also order replacement parts (needle, noozle, etc) that wear out or can be easily lost when I get paints. CreekMonster Posted February 29, 2008 Report Share Posted February 29, 2008 They sell tiny brushes at wal mart by the tooth brushes for cleaning braces. $5.00 or so for 5 or 6. they work pretty good and they have a couple of different shapes and sizes. I was actually rinsing it off when it fell. Yea i use the needle to clean out the tip also. You've got to be careful not to apply too much pressure or you will open the tip up.. BobP Posted February 29, 2008 Report Share Posted February 29, 2008 Ernel, sorry. When I looked at Dixieart 6 mths ago, I could have sworn the nozzle for a HP was $18. Needles were $8 and I ordered one. Now the nozzle is $33 and the needles are $10+. Either I was mistaken or the exchange rate has REALLY gone south! I wont take the nozzle off again unless I am over a soft surface like the mattress or a thick piece of foam. They charged $9.95 for shipping too. As far as a cleaning kit/brush, I haven't found one small enough to fit the .3 and smaller fluid nozzles. Twisting the needle with a color cup of water has worked very well for more than a year.
