stream stalker
Here are a couple of photos of three new swim jig patterns.: The top pattern is what I call the "BULL Gill" and was tyed to imitate a male bluegill during the spawn phase. The bottom jig is my new "Threadfin Shad" pattern. The slight amount of yellow is there due to the yellow appearance many threadfin shad possess. Matter of fact, in the South they call them "yellow tails". This new pattern is called "Shabbona Shiner". It gets its name from a local lake that contains shiners that possess a blue tint. mickalo
very nice looking jigs. luv the skirting combo colors. the BULL Gil would work nicely around these parts. If I may ask, what type of jig head style did you use for the swim jigs? Mike

stream stalker
We pour our own heads using the bullet bass mold from Do-IT. They make two different molds, we have the one with three cavities 1/4,3/8, and 1/
Tony Maxwell
Stream Stalker, Have recently started pouring my own using the bullet bass jig mold. Which hooks do you use, and where do you get them. I'm using the Mustads 28 degree hooks from Jann's Netcraft in the 3/0, 4/0, & 5/0 sizes. Yours look excellent. Like the tied skirts. stream stalker
We have tried many different styles and sizes of hooks. While we offer the jigs in a couple of different hook styles, our favorite is the Mustad 5/0 light wire, round bend hook. We buy all of our hooks from Barlow's.
