Stumpy21
Hi all. I'm new to the site and can't get over all the info on here. I am wanting to learn how to build my own rods and was wondering what books or sources of information do you recommend? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Stumpy

Mattman
rodbuilding.org Tom Kirkman's book Dale Clemens book Rod Maker magazine Take a class at Cabela's Look for a locally held class Get on Google and search I researched for over a year before I built my first rod. By they time I started building I had seen several methods for the same tasks. Gotten some good info from experienced builders. Built a good work bench, drying box and wrapper. Stumpy21
Thanks for all the info guys. I'm going to start researching this and will give a try. Not doing it for the money, just thought I would enjoy building my own rods and fishing with them.
bhorlings
FYI to everyone... Dale Clemens just put out a new edition of his book. It is dated April of 2008 but is shipping from Barnes & Noble already. Mine should arrive on Wednesday.
