Zoom Banana Seed Recipe

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a recipe for the Zoom Banana Seed? I've come close using LC yellow, putting about 20 drops in a 1/4 pot of plastic and adding 035 black flake. I use those small metal pots from LC. I get a good yellow using this, but it is not as bright of a yellow as Zoom's. Thought I'd check here................thanks.

Loco- I tried adding white but it turned it a "milky" yellow. I think trying what Monkey Hunter tried with his color might work. I use LC coloring, so maybe adding a little yellow fluorescent to it might brighten it up and give it a little brighter yellow color..............thanks guys.....

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll get around to trying the options suggested in the next couple days. The thing with this particular color is I've added small amounts of coloring, let's say 5 drops of yellow, and it's too lite of yellow. Then I add 10, then tried 20. 20 came out the best just wasn't the bright yellow that zooms' is. I think Monkey Hunter has the right idea to add just a coupe drops of the yellow fluorescent to get a little brighter yellow. My yellow is pretty old too, so that might not help. I won't have time to mess with it for a couple days or so, but will post my recipe once I get it nailed down.

Thanks...............

I don't know if this is exact, but it's close. I was actually going the opposite direction from you. I was trying to tone down a flourescent yellow and added transparent yellow. I use MF colorants, but try about 7-10 drops of the trans yellow and 5 drops of flo yellow with the black flake. My baits were also salted so you might need a drop of white.

Finally got around to running some baits in this color. I use LC colorants and flake. I did 15 drops yellow and 4 drops yellow fluorescent in a 1/4 pot of plastic (the samll metal pots you can get from LC); then added the black flake. The baits came out as almost an exact match. I'm sure you can fiddle around with the coloring to lighten/brighten the yellow for your preferences.......
