Only took me 5minutes to type this reply:teef: I fish all premium hooks for bass. Have for years. Lowest quality I go is Gamies or ultrapoints. Most are xpoint and owner. Mags
This is the going price for these hooks. When I first starting selling these I did a price analysis of everything that was out there and they range from 1 to 2 dollars per weighted hook. The Gamakastu G-lock 5/0 is actually the cheapest at about $1.00 per hook for the 1/8 and 3/32 ounce size. We found it tore up the baits quicker, so at 1-3 dollars per bait the screwlock design was actually cheaper as it preserved the baits. The most expensive is the Lake Fork Tackle Ultimate swimbait at $2.00 per hook. From what I have heard this is a special run Gammy. $1.25-$1.35 for the 5/0 and $1.50 for the 6/0 retail is what we charge. When the hooks become more available the price will fall. There will be bigger and more hooks this summer. All the hook companies got caught by surprise on this one. There are at least 10 swimbait companies that will come out with their own hooks this summer, probably too late for this years swimbait mania, but they'll be there for next year. Staying ahead of the curve always costs money! Steve Edited August 7, 2008 by Spike-A-Pike
