Mepps doesn't publish that info, but according to the Canadian Guide to Lure Making,:-:-: Lure Making :-:-: The Official LureMaking.com Website | Tackle Components | Lure Components | Lure Making Information | Lure Making Supplies It looks like it is more based on blade size than anything else. You may want to go light on the wire if you are bending your spinners with pliers and vise-grips, just hand tools, and a bit heavier if your using a spinner bender.

0.024” Spinners with blade sizes 0 to 4

0.028” Spinners with blade sizes 3 to 6

0.030” Spinners with blade sizes 3 to 6

0.035” Spinners with blade sizes 5 to 8

0.051” Musky Spinners

0.062” Musky Spinners
