rixon529
I enjoy fishing for Atlantic striped bass off Connecticut in Long Island Sound. I'd appreciate input from those who make saltwater baits about choice/preference of plastic additives (hardener/softener) and how much I have a few ideas kicking around in my head for some baits. One for swimbait style about 5" to 6" and another for Slug-go (or eel) style 10" to 12". Thanks guys. Rick
saint308
I am playing with MF saltwater. I have tried it on my 4" swims. It seems pretty tough. However, the tail action is a little stiff unless you reel pretty quick. I am not sure how you work your baits. Hope this helps. I will send you a PM. Saint. VARick
I grew up in Westbrook, fishing the shoreline. I'm in FL now and use regular plastic with a drop or two of hardner. I prefer to keep the action more lively than worry about how long a bait will last. smirkplug
I love the big sluggos but have always had problems making long casts with 1-2 ounce leadheads and 12 inch commercial sluggos. They always tear off the hook when you really let them fly , so keep that in mind when trying to go too soft. If you get that part right please refer me to a place in can purchase some.
