first pop mold

Recommended Posts

Don, I saw it exactly the same as you, a positive, but it is an optical illusion. You have to stare at the pic for a few seconds and the image will flip and you will see the negative mold.

As a CAD user, this happens often. I have to zoom out, twist the model and zoom back in.

Perhaps! I'm not doubting your thought but, I still see the shadows and the eyes look like they protrude instead of being recessed. Even when I put the pic in Photoshop and enlarge it.

It doesn't really matter as it is good work - just wanted it clarified as it would be an extra step - or perhaps there is something I could learn.

Perhaps the original poster will chime in as only he knows.

I will be on the road - heading to Michigan - so I will be out of commission on the computer until late Monday.

I am interersted to find out the answer here. Not that it is a big deal - just want to clear things up.

Regardless, a very nice job.

Sorry I haven't replied back but I seem to be haveing a hard time navigating throught this site, it takes sometime like 3 minutes just to pick a thread to read it and then 3min to go back to the main menu. I don't know if it's my computer but doesn't seem to happen on other site(seems to work faster when less people are on this site)

I'm sorry my picture makes it difficult to make it out(I suck at takeing up close photos). But what I did was mix the pop in a container and poured it into a smaller container and then I pushed the baits into the plaster. The small(Goby type) is just over 2in that I carved out after the plaster was cured with my dremel and some fine sand paper.

I use that mold to pour into and then remove the plastic baits out of it.
