njrfishing
These are some picks from my first pop mold.I'll have to remember that it hardens very quick. Still need some practice.

Smallie
Doesn't that long bait that wraps around the corner want to stay in that shape?
nova
That was my first thought Smallie; but after I thought about it for a minute I'm pretty sure that if you get the bait out of the mold while it's still warm you can lay it straight and it should stay that way. www.novalures.com
Smallie
So I would expect it would work in reverse. You could make a curved bait that way. That gives me an idea...........
nova
Exactly. www.novalures.com
njrfishing
Thanks for the positve coments.Nova you are correct when I took it out still warm and layed it straight it remained straight.(didn't have a bigger container) Also played with this one, what do you think? Hope the smallies at St.Clair love it.

nova
POP stands for plaster of paris. Go to the tutorials and you'll find what you need or you can do a search. There are lots of posts about it. www.novalures.com

Florida Don
The mold you show in the picture is not the one you used to pour. You had to make a negative mold from that one to get the poured lures correct? Unless, I'm not seeing things correctly. Or, please explain what you did. Great job - very clean. Vodkaman
Don, I saw it exactly the same as you, a positive, but it is an optical illusion. You have to stare at the pic for a few seconds and the image will flip and you will see the negative mold. As a CAD user, this happens often. I have to zoom out, twist the model and zoom back in. Florida Don
Perhaps! I'm not doubting your thought but, I still see the shadows and the eyes look like they protrude instead of being recessed. Even when I put the pic in Photoshop and enlarge it. It doesn't really matter as it is good work - just wanted it clarified as it would be an extra step - or perhaps there is something I could learn. nova
I made my BigHead worms with indented eyes which show up in the mold as protrusions. That may be what you are seeing in this case as well. It does play tricks on your eyes. www.novalures.com
Florida Don
Perhaps the original poster will chime in as only he knows. I will be on the road - heading to Michigan - so I will be out of commission on the computer until late Monday. I am interersted to find out the answer here. Not that it is a big deal - just want to clear things up. Regardless, a very nice job.
njrfishing
Sorry I haven't replied back but I seem to be haveing a hard time navigating throught this site, it takes sometime like 3 minutes just to pick a thread to read it and then 3min to go back to the main menu. I don't know if it's my computer but doesn't seem to happen on other site(seems to work faster when less people are on this site) I'm sorry my picture makes it difficult to make it out(I suck at takeing up close photos). But what I did was mix the pop in a container and poured it into a smaller container and then I pushed the baits into the plaster. The small(Goby type) is just over 2in that I carved out after the plaster was cured with my dremel and some fine sand paper. I use that mold to pour into and then remove the plastic baits out of it.
Florida Don
I stand corrected. It looks like the way I explained - but I guess it is just the picture. The way you made the mold would be the way I would also do it. They came out great.
