akriverrat
was at walmart earlier and all the toaster ovens will not accomodate larger jigs like 12 or 16 oz spire points or mojos. anyone have any recomendations?
mikel7@mac.com
You will probley have to modify the oven or rack for something that big. I glued a couple pieces of metal with devcon in mine to raise the rack. ( small oven ) I only bake about 25 AT A TIME.
Pop
I saw some postings a couple years ago with guys using small pie ovens. Don't know where they got them, but maybe a search will turn them up. Pop

Him and I spoke briefely about powder painting back then, and how to. I have not heard from him since. But yes pie ovens work really well. The only thing with ovens like that, is that they are big and deep. But you can do 1000's if not 10's of 1000's of jigs at a time if racked properly. There is no problem with height or depth of any jig. You can easily bake a 12" long jig on end if need be. They are readily available for commercial use. I used to work for Jewel foods back in the day, and we baked Fasano Pies. Pop I thought I had a good memory, but you do as well.
BLT
make a stand and put the oven on end so the heating element is on the side. I have done larger jigs this way. I always use the oven upside down now, and just hang on the rack. Put a sheet or 2 of foil over the heating element. I have a smaller oven, and was doing 1/8 and 1/4 oz jigs this w/e, 60 at a time, but probably could have put more in at a time. Need a bigger oven!
