King Bait Co. Posted March 28, 2008 Report Share Posted March 28, 2008 I am making plaster molds but I can't figure out what to seal them with. I bought some Krylon Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze it comes in a spray can. I haven't used it yet. I just don't whant a toixc cloud in the house or ruin the molds. Also I am having trouble with air bubbles in the molds. Is their a certian way to mix the plaster so you don't get air bubbles? I use 6x8 and 4x8 galvanized sheet metal pans to pour them in and I spray WD-40 in them so they don't stick to the metal. Is that a problem wiith the air bubbles. Some of the cavitys I pour in have a spot that gets bubbley or fizzy in a certian spot. Will sealing them stop this. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nova Posted March 28, 2008 Report Share Posted March 28, 2008 The plaster has to be sealed well or you will get the bubbling. I seal my molds with epoxy thinned down with alcohol.
