anderson_dc
For those who use a toaster oven to preheat or harden your powder coated lures is there an oven thermometer that you would recommend using? I see that there are digital read out ones, hanging ones, etc and is there one that you like over the other? Do you use the thermometer to figure out the temps and then mark them on the dial of the toaster oven? Im assuming that the temperatures on the dial are not accurate and this is why im asking. Im going to start using more then one color and want to make sure im not using too much heat and causing the lures to bleed colors. Thanks in advance! fish devil
I use a cheap hanging one from shop rite. I leave it in the oven. The dial on my toaster oven are way off. I don't mark them.
LedHed
I use a thermocouple reader with a hard probe or Type T thermocouple wire. Some advantages of using this combo - you don't have to open/close the door to verify the temp and it's way more accurate.
