King Bait Co.
Has anybody seen del's mold on ebay for $5.95 Starting bid. Are they the not so perfect one's he sells every once in a while? They are listed as new and dosen't say anything about being seconds. I don't think they will get Del's price out of them on ebay.
pastorshane
yep, I've seen them. They may have been used once or twice or simple some one is going out of the lure bussiness, is my guess.
Smallie
They appear once and a while. Just be careful that the price doesn't get higher than the prices on Dels site.
King Bait Co.
When I buy molds I buy them stright from the maker. That way their is no problems. I am still waiting on a custom painted lure I got on ebay over three weeks ago. I don't like to wait for my molds. So get them from the maker. I'm not going to bid on any more... Is anyone on TU bidding on the molds...? Could be a great deal or bad...I think I wont risk it... Spike-A-Pike
I've found in general and especially on eBay, if it sounds too good to be true, it's probably a scam. I miss the good old days when your word and a handshake was as good as any written contract.
King Bait Co.
It does seem a little odd using del's pictures on ebay (Good Eye!). They do seem to have a large amount of them. Maybe it would take to much time to take pictures of all of them. I woundn't mind having some of them. I won't bid on them since Its not the actual picture. Did it once before neve agian. I still have burns from getting burned.
Massacre Bait Co.
With eBay's new bidder protection one can no longer e-mail other bidders to ask them questions...May be a good thing but I have in the past had other bidders e-mail me & I have done the same... I like to check things out and ask questions about sellers just in this type of case... I would like to know if any other bidders were in consern about him... This seller did offer me 5 gal. of del's plastic for $25.00 he said he had 6 5 gal buckets to get rid of... Just want to keep us here on TU and other safe from a scam... Becareful I been watching it as well, thats alot of little molds, we have thousands of molds out but I don't remember that many little molds to one guy. There was one guy but I hadnt talked to him in 3 years he was from MA. There has been a few people on ebay selling molds that use out pictures but they are junk and not made by us. One guy even was selling them with our name on them, but they were mis spelled . Kinda like me LOL there was a guy selling them, and when you got them they were bad, really bad, they were made in mexico had burrs all over and had sandblasted finish's the plastic stuck to the molds. watch it on the plastic, no one has boughten that many of the little molds and plastic at all except for the guy I am thinking of three years ago. and that plastic probally would have some major moisture problems. if someone gets his name shoot me a email and I will let you know if he is legit or not. From all my knowledge most people don't think that far outside the box. That is proably his intials. Lets us know DelW.
maltrout
I saw those molds on ebay also, but the caution flag went up in my head since there were so many molds up for sale and he had a 0 feedback rating. I decided it was not worth the risk.
Bountiful Waters
I told him to call Del, which he said he would. He stated he bought all from Del except the Beaver molds a couple of years ago. Del, heads up, he said he is trying to contact you. We all start with (0) on Ebay, so that does not bother me and he has been prompt on his replies with me. Also sounds like anyone of us in describing these molds. I think he is OK.
Massacre Bait Co.
Dear massacre_bait_co, Hello Vance, Unfortunately I only have the two sweet beavers. Yes I do have a lot of molds. I was selling hand pour baits as a business for several years and accumulated quite a few molds. It kills me to liquidate them but I have too. Yes I am happy to combine the shipping any way you would like. Depending on how many molds you win we can either upgrade to a flat rate box or go UPS Ground. Obviously I would need to just cover shipping and a small handling charge per auction probably $1 each Just give me a heads up after you win an auction to let me know you have some more bids out there Let me know if you need any plastic. I have 5 or 6 5 gallon buckets of callhoun plastic that I have to get rid of. If is from 2005 (still sealed in the bucket). I checked with the manufacturer and he said this stuff will last 10 years. Good Luck and Thanks for bidding - jfc_3 Did this answer your question? If not, let the seller know. Here is the first e-mail I received from this seller...Like I said may be lagit I'm not sure...I know we all start off with (0) and I really like to give the first feedback to a newbie...But when one contridicks one self (sp)...? It gives me some consirns about them... I have not called Del to ask him if he knew this person but I see he has replyed to this thread... Thanx...Del. If he is ok I think he has the 5 or 6 gal. of plastic if anyone wants to get ahold of him... Once again BECAREFUL... This is sapossed to be fun and one bad egg sure can make it smell bad in the bag... Vance
Richard Prager
I personally would not have a problem bidding on them. I bid on one that just ended but lost and I'm bidding on a case of the bags. If the winning item doesn't arrive, then my money will be refunded through Paypal. This just sounds like to me somebody with big dreams and had some money to burn. There's a 6 inch "custom" flat worm. Hey Del, do you remember making those? I've bought many molds mostly from TU members, on e-Bay and sold many also. I haven't had any problems as of yet. If you guys are concerned, PLEASE DON'T BID and maybe I can get a good deal on some molds!!

Yes I do, his first name I believe starts with a R, he is a hell of a nice guy and was on Tackleunderground and the site before for a very long time. Same with the custom Ba's he had a very very good lure business going then had kids and no time
