D.Anderson
I would like to add a plastic keeper to collar of a jig mold. Has anyone done this? I know I could use my dremel and grind away, but this is a favorite mold that I've previously modified and don't want to risk ruining it. Thanks. Big Splash
Use a very tiny, sharp bit and a steady hand. Have you thought about adding a slot to put in a wire keeper? It would be easier, because it would only require widening the hook slot. It does add a second step when pouring the jig, as you must lay in a piece of wire as well as the hook. Celticav
Just go slow and precise, you can use JB Weld to patch if needed, JIM
jerkbait
I have had very good luck using a sharp wood chisel. By making 2 small gouges starting with a vertical cut from near the back of the collar and intersecting it with a45 degree cut from the back oif the collar, a v shaped barb can be created. it is easy to control and doesnt need a haer just hand pressure will do i in the soft aluminum. Thanks guys. I am new to the board
