Javelin
I have had a hotpot 2 for about 8 months. This morning, it shocked me when I touched it and also when I put a spoon in the lead to remove the trash off the top. Then the burner went out. Do I just need to order a replacement burner? cadman
Yes, you just need to buy the element, I think Barlow's has it for $17.95....+ shipping... You may want to call the manufacturere to see if it is still covered by warranty. It might be a 1 year warranty, I'm not sure.
Basseducer
Javelin, The pot should have a two year warranty. If it is out of warranty, you can send it back to Lee with a check for half the retail cost and they will completely refurbish it and begin a new two year warranty. TJ I think he is talking about the "Hot Pot 2" made by Palmer in West Newton, PA. Javelin if that is correct, I looked at all my paperwork I got with my pots, and it doesn't mention any warranty. I would definitely give them a call, and explain to them your dilemma. I would bet, they will send you a new element. It's easy to put in. It's held in place by two screws under the top cover.
