b75nweav
How do you know when your D2t epoxy is thinned enough? Do you just add the D. alcohol drop by drop? Is there a ratio?

benton B
b75, I mix the same amount of epoxy to clear 2 baits, then add 5 drops of denatured alcohol. It is enough to cover 3 baits without getting tacky. I hope that makes sense.
captsully18
b75, I mix my d2t real well and then add alcohol with eye dropper til it runs off stick the way I like it, pretty much like thick paint. It really takes experimentation to get it the way YOU like it. Hope this helps. David
b75nweav
That's what I figured. Im working on some swimbaits and holding off on clearcoating them until I get all the details down pat. Dont want the epoxy to get stiff on me.
mark poulson
One of the benefits of Evirotex Lite is the increased working time. I get a half hour before it's really hard to spread. If it starts to get harder to spread, I hit it with a hair dryer, and it softens up enough again to spread. I can coat five or six jointed lures in one session with Etex. I use D2T for coating the insides of the joints first, if I want to do all the coating on the same day. The D2T doesn't sag as much as the Etex, and sets hard enough in 2 hours to allow me to reassemble my lures, and put them on the wheel for coating. hazmail
A blob 2" in diameter, I would put 3-4 DROPS in (WITH eye dropper), it will go all stringy, mix welluntil it is as smooth as normal. I think you get a higher gloss using this also.pete 7 DAYS TO LIFT OFF
