Delw
we do it all the time. DONT USE FEDEX. when the cutomer doesnt pay his dties or tax's you get charged and its not cheap. depending on what country ups and post office are the only way to go. make sure you get insurance as certain counties tend to rip off people alot. this way it will protect you and your customer. diemai
I always have my components shipped from the USA to Germany by ordinary surface mail (hardware , lure-eyes, hooks , etc.) . It's slow(4 to 8 weeks) , but less costly(approx. 20$ for 100$ merchandise) . Off course one possibly should not order for very heavy items , f.e. like lead-parts in large amounts . Airmail would probably be twice as much . The VAT(value added tax)charged in Germany is currently 19% , they don't only charge it on the merchandise value , but they would add the shipping costs to the bill before and take 19% of it !!!!!!!! But because this is not enough yet , they would add the 19% tax sum to the merchandise value and to the shipping costs , from this amount those stealers and robbers and cheaters from the local IRS would still take 4,3% so-called EU tax and add it to the VAT, this one is obviously for the European Union , so that they can bother us ,the people of Europe , continiously with new , senseless restrictions . But still most likely fishing stuff is that cheap in the USA , that it is still worthwile to order for those , also there are items available , that are not for sale over here in Europe , and if they are , they are more expensive , since they are also imported from the USA . Vodkaman
I hear ya Diemai. Some companies will not send me stuff unless the order is over $500. One day, I hope this would be a very small order, but at this time, I am still deciding which material and/or method to go with. I can understand the problem, but if I am prepared to pay the exorbitant postage and costs, what is the problem.
diemai
@ Vodkaman , sure I'm prepared about paying all these dues , but it was on one certain occasion years ago , that I got a bit mad about all this tax stuff : Ordered for two tackle boxes , they were delivered in TWO packages , only one contained the shipping papers and invoice , got this one first . One week later I got a notice from local customs office to come to determine about the value of a parcel without any enclosed documents . Well , I went there with the invoice of the first package , both supplies were listed there correctly and they were able to determine the fee . Ok , I paid the taxes , after I had a close look at the tax document , that stated something like "VAT on Merchandise Value" . So I asked them there , why they also calculated their tax on the shipping costs , when only "Value" is stated on their bill ? The officers were unable to give me ANY explanation about the how's and why's , so I asked the leading officer to explain to me , why I should pay tax on the shipping costs , first it was not stated on their document , second shipping costs are something , that is impossible to import into the country ! Well , this guy just raised his shoulders at me , saying " it's like that....!" and left me standing there . Since I remembered this event during writing my last post here , I became a little hot-tempered whilst doing so , that was my problem:angry: . Greetings , diemai

Green_Fingers
Hi fellow Euro pourers, MF ships to me in Switzerland and they don't have a minimun order they just give me two choices of shipping, by snail mail, at about 10$ for 4 pints of plastic and a selection of colours gliters etc or about 40$ for DHL. I am usually too impatient to use snail mail though! There is also plastic available from lureparts.nl, but I tried it and prefere MF, but still they have a few colours and heat stabalisers etc for emergencies:lol: There is also a new French site that stocks plastic and I can't remember the exact name something like bricoleure.com. Rico should know, he is from France and told me about the site. Cheers, Simon
