??? on an older rod

long time lurker - first time poster.

i have an older mitchell spidercast retractable butt baitcasting rod. the specs are as follows:

model # SC76FPT

7 1/2 ' flipping / pitching

lure wt. 1/4 - 2 oz.

line wt. mono - 15 -30 lb. superline - 10/50 lb.

it says spectra composite. is that graphite or glass, both / neither ?

it's not rated, would it be a medium heavy or a heavy ?

i am thinking about selling it and was wondering if it had any value or is it just another fishing rod ?

I have looked through my books and cant find any info on it. Any idea how old it is? If I had an approximate age I might have a couple ways of finding out some info.

If I recall Mitchell marketed the Spidercast rods in the mid '90s as a reasonably priced option to handle the early spectra lines. It would probably be safe to assume the rods were manufactured to Michell's specs and were probably never offered as blanks. I would suspect that they are some sort of graphite glass composite, in an effort to keep people from abusing the blank. With a rating of 1/4 to 2 oz., I would consider it a Heavy powered rod.

There just does not seem to be a lot of info ou there on this particular rod or Mitchell rods in general. So with that in mind, and with what Grub Man has posted, and the few prices on mitchell rods I was able to come up with I would make a guess and say its just another rod and does not have any excess value. But keep in mind I am just making as educated of guess as I can make. If someone comes along and contradicts what I have said, then believe them.
