Wire Bending

Recommended Posts

Going to go out an a limb here and ask this. I have a boggs tacklemaker, and can't afford a Hagens. I'd like to be able to bend the second end on homemade bucktails easier.

What I want to ask is would anyone give up the dimensions of the business end of the hagens? I'm a machinst and could whip one up in my free time. widths of top, width of slots and depths, angle of secondary slots, the dimensions of the hold down? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Jeff

If this is what you're talking about. Then yes I can take some dimensions for you. I can give it to you in (.000) with calipers, or I can mic it for you in (.0000) with a micrometer. My mic only goes up to 1". It will be best to do this off line. Unless someone else is interested. PM me your e-mail with the specific dimensions you need, and or highlight what you want dimensioned............Ted

The boggs doesn't do both ends. The first bend it does, but after loading the wire with beads, spinners, e.t.c. you have to twist the last end of the bucktail by hand. With a Hagens you can do both ends.

Cadman, I attached some pics on my last post here.

Thanks

Jeff
