fishinfool/2
I just got one today there is only 4'' of clearance. my stick mold is 6'' but if you take the 4 screws out of the bottom and turn it around and put them back in and build a 2x4 frame with 1/2 ply on top screw bace fast you now have 8'' works great just make sure you have everything secured don't want to spill hot plastic. ghost
Probably a stupid question but has me curious. Are lee plastic and lead pots the same?
braveviper
I was wondering the same thing, how are those molds?
njrfishing
They look the same but have a different heat elements inside, if you use a lead pot to heat plastic you will end up burning your plastic creating a lot of smoke and a really bad smell. ghost
I use a microwave for my plastic and have been using a hot pot 2 thing for lead. Just bought a lee IV for lead now and I think a lee pot would be a lot faster than a microwave.
