ghost
I received my lee production pot in the mail today and don't know how I ever lived without it. But I have noticed one problem. The pour spout seems to clog up on me. What is everyones secret remedy for this? When I first started using it I had a perfect flow but it kept getting worse as I poured until it ended up being a trickle and I had to stop. Basseducer
If you are using additives such as salt and glitter they may be settling into the top of the pour spot. Try fashioning an "L" shaped "Anti-Clogging Tool" out of a piece of spinnerbait wire and push it up into the pot through the spout and work it around a bit, this may help. Then always remember Stirr, Stirr Stirr... TJ
rxfish
Two things tend to slow the flow and that is cooler plastic which makes it thicker and the larger flake. I have a small piece of wire close by to clear the opening from the bottom. After some use the hole can close some and I use a drill at slow speed to ream it out. Its surprising how just doing that will increase the flow.

Fatman
I wouldn't use a drill to be clearing your pour spout wether lead or plastic, one slip and you're into the heating element or worse you screw up the pour spout. Use a piece of wire to clear it our spin the lift rod with a screwdriver to clear it. Fatman

bamablacksmith
Typically Ive found that if I increase the heat this problem goes away. The tip below the pot is just too cool and 'freezes' the lead in the spout. The only reason you should need a clean out tool is if you get debris clogged in it. If you need a clean out tool, the best would be a torch tip cleaner, available for a couple of bucks from any welding or home supply store.
