capecodsmallie
Is the salt that Lurecraft offers, popcorn salt? Thanks.
Cranking Jack
Find someone in the Food Service industry. Like a local resturant manager. I buy 25 lbs of Salt for $5.00. Of course I spend a little time grinding it up in a blender. I also store the ground salt in a plastic Ice Cream container which keeps out the humidity. alsworms
I would definitely stay away from the Lure Craft salt. It is a fine salt (not as fine as popcorn salt), but it's way too costly and you really get jacked on the shipping. Try looking in your yellow pages under "popcorn" or "carnival vendors". If you don't find anything there, you'd be much better off grinding regular table salt. I haven't done it, but there are guys on here who are pros at it. If you do a search on grinding salt, I'm sure you'll find some good information. Chris
Mercury
Chris is right about the cost of the salt. Food grade salt is more find and is about .25 for 2 lb. Popcorn salt it nearly a powder, much better for our needs. Get the plain salt not the butter flavored.
