RipLip
Does anyone have any ideas where I could find the color Candy Apple Red that Del-Mart use to sell about 1 1/2 - 2yrs. ago? They stop selling it and I bought a bunch before that and would like to keep making that color. I can't find it anywhere. I think it might have been a mixture at the manufacturer or something to make that color. A number to them would be great. Thanks
nova
Have you got a pic of what it looks like? www.novalures.com
RipLip
The liquid or the bait? Thanks
nova
The bait if it's just that color in it. If not just take a piece of black and a piece white paper. Then make a small smear of the color on each. Show both. www.novalures.com
King Bait Co.
I got some from Del's but I didn't see it on the site anymore as you pointed out. Here's a pictures to see if it is what your looking for. They are called Qupids Venom the tails are candy apple red. The color does bleed like no other. Zeiners sells a Non bleed strawberry. I haven't got it yet but it may be close. If you call I am sure they might be able to tell you if they a close. If all else fails I could send you some. I think I have a half bottle left. So just PM me Edited May 22, 2008 by King Bait Co.
nova
I've never seen that color before; it certainly is bright. I was thinking that it may be a bright red with red highlite in it; or maybe a touch of gold highlite. Possibly even a touch of both. I was thinking I might be able to help but I think you better try to find out where Delw got it from or maybe he will "special"order it if you buy enough it. Sorry I couldn't help. www.novalures.com

RipLip
King that is right on there. Nova thats the candy apple I was looking for. I use it with red flake and its effectice in NH. I asked Del and April if they could get some for me but I guess they can't. I think I bought there last bid last year. I wanted to keep the same brightness but mixing other reds haven't looked the same. Maybe I'll try the strawberry. Thanks
King Bait Co.
Heres another idea I got off another post. Oil pastel colors will work. I think I saw a candy apple red at the collage book store here in town. Check the post out if you haven't already its under caryon color. Delw
That Candy apple and root beer were really cool colors, April didnt want to deal with them due to they were 2 colors that were hazzardous, she doesnt want the hassle with the post office/ ups etc. plus she would have to charge a hazzardous fee per the post office and ups to even ship 1 oz. King Bait Co.
Are the colors we use a powder with a chemical added? Is that why they clump up on the bottom? Could he just get the powder if thats possable and add the other stuff later if he got it where he lives.

nova
Delw; what was in them to make them hazzardous? www.novalures.com
Delw
Delw; what was in them to make them hazzardous? its was the flamability problem. in there pure form that we got those 2 in a match would ignite them, they would burn like a laquar base paint. Granted mixed they wouldnt but we still had to put a sticker on them
King Bait Co.
Go to M-F Manufacturing Co., Inc. - 817- 281-9488 / Fax 817-281-9498 They have a picture of Strawberry. It looks close to candy apple red.
RipLip
Strawberry does look good. I'll give it a run. I didn't know there was anything hazardous about them. That would be great if I could make it here in town but that depends on the chemicals and availability. I would need some information on the right mixture. The pouring station already looks close to a illegal operation the way it is now so maybe I'll start mixing chemicals too! Thanks!
King Bait Co.
If that don't work try House of Color car paint. They have candy apple red and every other candy color(lol). I wonder if car paint would work?
