mark poulson
I want to put a second coat on, and I'm thinking that after two hours, once it's okay to handle it, that would be the time to recoat it. I hope the two layers bond because the first is still fresh. Any advice?
MTfishingrods
Thats the perfect time for west marine , i havnt used D2T in a while so im not 100%positive with it, but i am about 95% sure its fine. Also know it works with Flex coat as well.
cheesehead
As soon as it has set enough that it doesn't sag but is still tacky is your best bet. Somewhere between 1/2 to 2 hours is fine as it allows the coats to bond both chemically and mechanically.
jerkn
I haven't used d2t but the people at envirotex said as soon as you can handle it you can reapply. Edited June 12, 2008 by jerkn
Lure--Prof
Unless you're in a humid cave, I wouldn't want to wait much past the first hour for D2-t, for the absolute best bond--like cheesehead said.
