Blyth
Nova, Would this be the recipe: Motor Oil 4 oz rubber 2 drops black 14 drops golden yellow What brand of color did you use(if you know)?
MDC
Blyth All of the mfgs have a motor oil colorant. Just experment until you get the shade you prefer. I usually start with 20 drops of MFs per 4oz. I like it with gold flake and use about 1/8tsp. Red should be about the same
nova
That's the one. All colors were LC. www.novalures.com
Leeapin
Good day, I'm looking for Mann's EV color formula? Or something like this
alsworms
That color is brown grape from Lure Craft, although I just checked their site and it looks like they don't sell it anymore. That used to be a very popular color back in the day. It's interchangeable like Motor Oil (looks like chocolate indoors and a violet grape outdoors.) You might wanna give Lure Craft a call and see if they still have some leftover in stock...... 1-800-925-9088. Since it's interchangeable, I'm not sure how you'd make that one using other colors. Maybe some of the other members might know?

MonteSS
Here is Bears' Chamaleon. Brown that is violet in the light. And here is Bears' Motor Oil that looks green but turns amber in the light
alsworms
Yup........I'd be willing to bet that's brown grape on the chameleon color. Thicker portions of the body look more brown than violet. Almost looks like a 2-color pour. Very cool effect.
mark poulson
Does anyone make a black grape like that?
Bassinfool
I would love to have that chameleon color. I may try and make it sometime soon, just have to get some more plastic first. I'm thinking of trying a good bit of Purple or maybe Florida grape and then a couple drops of either natural or pumpkin seed. Any other ideas that might be good to try? MonteSS
You can not mix the color changing colors yourself. They come that way. You can use hilite powder to get good effects of having a base color and a different outer "skin" color. Magic craw. Green pumpkin blue hilite sheen Blue Glimmer Grape with green hilite Brown with green hilite Tequila. Red with blue pearl powder
Bassinfool
That bait looks like its a violet plastics with a brown skin which is why I was thinking I might be able to mix something up to get that certain effect. Brown plastic with a violet hi lite I can do no problem.
alsworms
Monte.......those are great pictures and really show what hi-lites can do.

Brown plastic with a violet hi lite I can do no problem. Cool idea. I was thinking more on the lines of something like Monte's tequila (that looks pretty darn close), but maybe darker. Something like LC's violet grape with blue hi-lite. Just my
