macbor
Hey, Last night I poured a rainbow trout laminate stick, I have let them sit over night, when I started to trim them this morning I found I could pull the 2 colors apart, this hasn't happened before????? Anyone have any reason why this happened? This is the first time I've used hi-lite powder, does that have an affect when joining 2 colors Thanks for your help Rich
nova
The only thing that should cause the layers not to stick (that I know of) is heat. If you're 2nd or3rd pours are not hot enough to re-melt a thin layer of the color it's being poured against, it will not bind well. www.novalures.com
Maverick
I agree with Nova, it is a heat problem. When pouring laminated baits you can not let the first pour cool very long or the next pour will not adhere properly and you get the seperation. Hope this helps. whitey
I agree with the above. If you wait too long to pour your second color, it will separate every time. Pour color one, then color number two almost immediately thereafter.
