Fatman
Right now you're looking at 25 cents a skirt but it depends on how much he's going to charge you for shipping and handling. That little bit of plastic shouldn't cost more than $2 to mail, but I'd wager he's charging more. Just take your cost + ship/handling added together then divide by 25 and that's how much your skirts each will be. Nice color selection if that's what your looking for. InstantHits
the shipping is going to be $1.75 and i already added that into the price of the skirts.(sorry forgot to mention that earlier.) i kind of figured that i would have about 56 cents into one of my skirts so i think ima buy his for a while until i can find a better price...unless anyone knows of a really good website i can get skirt material cheap? smalljaw
A 40 strand skirt consist of 2 skirt tabs which is how they are sold if you're using silicone. I make my jigs with a 60 strand skirt and spinnerbaits over 1/4oz with a 50 strand skirt. The deal you are getting on those skirts aren't bad but did you pick those or are they what the seller is offering?
Spike-A-Pike
I did a few quick calculations - that's about a nickle a skirt high. Did that guy offer to send you a few samples just to make sure they'd work okay for your intended use? Did you enjoy a nice long chat to discuss the specific species you plan to use them for? Are you sure those are going to be long enough? Are they too long? Fatman - you got it right. I've got notice that my custom order will be shipped Tuesday. Thanks again Charles! Spike-A-Pike
I am a real supporter of other TU Members. Charles at Fishing Skirts.com (aka: Skirts Unlimited) is just such a member. The price listed is $0.20 each and just look at how many different colors he carries.

King Bait Co.
If you think its a good deal get them. I see were you are coming from. I have been looking into making my own buzzbaits. I have noticed you have to order from three diffrent places to get the colors you want.
rsinyard
At .25 each if this guy is making them himself he is going in the hole big time. If you order your tabs from Charles, you have to buy in quantities of 100 to get the discount price. Then you add on the cost of the skirt collar and you have .25 cents in the materials. My skirts have 66 strands and I charge .50 cents for 10 or more skirts. If I can't make .15 to .25 of profit, it is not worth it to me to make them. So if this guys skirts are of good quality that is a great deal. FYI. The tabs from Charles have 22 strands not the normal 20. He also has a new silicone tab coming out that is called living image and it is suppose to be very close to living rubber.
TTDuckman
I agree, the guy is going in the hole on them. Either he bought a ton of them very cheap, or his math skills could use some tuning. Tim
