Culchie
My season has sucked so far. But thanks for asking. I can't catch any fish. I don't know what the problem is. I use popular lures and can put the cast where I want to, but no results. My buddies catch fish at the same waters. I thought it might have something to do with hand acid, so before I went out last time, I rubbed my hands in salt and used fish attractant on my lures. Still nothing. I love fishing, but this is starting to annoy me. I've even tried down sizing, just to catch perch or crappie. It used to be that I could catch perch even when I didn't want to. Any suggestions would really help.
MarcDavidBaits
It started off good, but is slowing down. Lets just say I've had better.
Zbass
Yankeejigger, It's awesome that you and your some fish together. The kids are the future of the sport and not to mention that you two spend quality time together. That's great. As far as the season goes, Mine has stunk. Kind of like Culchie. Have not resorted to extremes, but am getting close. Have had three fomntt tournys and have one fish to show for it. There's always the next one. Spike-A-Pike
Guys, I forget who told me during the TU Meet, that when fishing gets slow, he was tempted to use a small hand cranked generator used for field telephones to some voltage into the water, sort'a like the DNR uses for fish counts. Since all the fish come to the surface, you can be sure to keep only "KEEPERS" and no under sized fish. LoL
King Bait Co.
It is slow at most lake in Nebraska because of the weather. The water is pure mud in must it has about 2" visabilty in most right know. More rain is on the way. I did get down to a lake a hour south of here for a tournament and it was the best time I have had all year. Were hoping for a good fall fishing. Alright we are praying:worship:. King Bait Co.
You suck! The ones I caught 2 weeks ago were all under weight. I got four 19 3/4's and they all were 3lb or a little bigger. The 16 1/2 I caught was 3.9lb I think the females I caught were in a late spawn. Yours look huge compared to mine. Nice monsters anyways:yay:
outdooradvantage
Yankee Jigger mine has been going good. I have been catching a lot of Bass on my plastic's. The Kankakee River is started to go down now and also clear some. However I have been catching some nice Smallies, I waided up Rock creek the other day and caught 4 nice Rainbow's, that was a first for me and it was awesome. Good luck the rest of the way all and congrats to you and your son YJ on your finish in your tourney..........Jeff.............

RipLip
I haven't caught large quantities but the quality has been great this year. I just caught a even 5lber on the 4th of July but it was 23 1/2 " long. It was a largemouth and it was all mouth and then it tapered down. I bet it will be over 6 by mid to end of summer. The tail was all beat up by spawning but it was a outstanding battle. I've also been getting standard 2 - 3lbers which are decent in the northeast. My lucky color is Candy Apple Red with Red Flake. I get a lot of doubters on that color but I've been able to make them believers:yay:.
Braided Line
So far so good. The weather is the only thing that controls my time on the river. Living in central Fl it gets hot as all get out in the summer months, so i`m off the river around 10-10:30 in the morning. Fishing a "T" for a shot at some money changes all that of course. spare tire
Fishing Has heated up in the U.P. About 50 to 60 a day with about 5 to ten nice ones each time. Of course I'm talking about bass. All catch and release.
King Bait Co.
RipLip I know how it is. I think their is a late spawn going on in some lakes all around. They should of been done a month ago here if not ealier. But they still a fun to fight plan and simple no matter what the weight.
