cadman
I just thought that in my spare time I would make a spinnerbait to celebrate this holiday. I originally was going to make red and white stripes, with a blue field and small stars. It
reeves
VERY VERY GOOD TED! I like that, and I bet there is a patriotic 6 lber out there waiting to smack his lips on it. Thanks for the nod, but you did the work and it shows how fast you learn things. Great job, and happy 4th to you too and the rest of the TU community!!! Spike-A-Pike
Ted, That is a very cool spinnerbait. I know that you posted it in wire baits and technically speaking, it is the correct forum... But I think the rest of the TU community should have a chance to see and share your 4th of July greeting and see your creative expression of that greeting, so I am putting it on The Docks. That said, I would like to wish America a Happy Birthday and thank all those that have served her over to the years.
nova
Ted that looks very nice. Nice detail work. Happy 4th to the brothers to the south. www.novalures.com
Spike-A-Pike
Nova was kind enough to point out a few other themed lures that are also in the spirit of the July 4th celebration. U.S. Flag Salute U.S. Air Force Salute U.S. Army Salute Thanks again.
cadman
Thanks for the compliments guys. Bruce very cool pics above. That eventually is going to be my next move, and that will be to plastics and then crankbaits, or vice versa. Now if I could do plastics like Nova, then I'd only have one more hobby to learn. I just don't have the time right now. Nova, I know that, that plastic bait is yours. That is truly amazing. I looked it up in the gallery, and all the comments you received about this bait are 100% true. I know nothing about pouring plastic, but that looks pretty complicated to do. I guess like anything else, it takes a lot of practice and knowhow. Job well done.
Spike-A-Pike
I just realized that Canada Day is normally observed on July 1, yet I didn't notice any mention of it. I would have enjoyed seeing our brothers to the North celebrate their holiday with us. Let's see a few Maple Leafs next year.
nova
Thanks Ted. Your spinnerbait is really good as well. I used to make topwater wood baits some years ago; but I'm afraid that I'm not as good a painter as you are. I guess everyone has their nich. www.novalures.com
King Bait Co.
If you could do the other hoildays you could sell sets for chirstmas. That would be a gret stocking stuffer for any fisherman. I wouild most likly hang mine on the tree for eveybody to see.
