Bassnutts
Has anyone ever used olive oil on their bass plastics? Bass like salt and garlic, do they like olive oil too?
nova
That's a good question. Never thought of that one. I'm sure someone will try it if it hasn't been tried before. www.novalures.com
Delw
look for some post from alworms a few years back, if I remember correctly olive oil makes the baits hard or bleed or something. It might be another type of oil to, I just remember them all talking about it a bunch of years ago.

It might be another type of oil to, I just remember them all talking about it a bunch of years ago. I ran out of worm oil and tried Johnson's baby oil. NOT a good idea! In less than a week, all my worms were hard as pencils. Never tried the olive oil though. Might be worth a shot!

Ed Brabant
You were making me nervos Sunday I put garlic oil that had olive oil in it on my baits. And I thought I ruined them. NO baby oil. I will make a note of that.

nova
The oil that is most destructive to baits is mineral oil. Baby oil is made with it. www.novalures.com

Bassnutts
I have been using it on my POP molds. I have not tried mixing any of it into the plastic. I have not done very mmuch pouring should I be mixing in some oil when I pour?
JSC
The only reason I asked about using the Olive oil in the plastic was in case U had been using a scent and added it in together ... otherwise no need to add it ot the plastic ... PACKING is the main use. JSC
Kajan
Cod liver oil was mentioned, that is the first scent oil I ever saw, was sold by Herters in the 60's.
Richard Prager
If you are adding worm oil to allow for easier packaging, why not just use a few drops of scent? I give the baits a squirt while they're setting up. The next day they are still slick and package easily. Just curious because I've never used worm oil. For myself, there's nothing worse than trying screw on a slippery bait on a shakey head!
Bassnutts
I have been using sented oil and olive oil on my molds just to help release. The only reason I don't like to use the sented is it is also colored. So I use the sented on them after they cool that way they dont suck up the green "stickey liquid".
