Tubeman
After talking to few a folks that are trying to acquire 9 x 5 polypro bags on this site, I've decided the only way we are going to get them is to do a joint order with a bag manufacture. I have two questions/requirements for those that are interested. Also 9 x5 is approximate size for a good worm bag/swimbait/what ever will fit bag...it could be bigger if the group decides so. 1) Most likely you will be asked to purchase at least 1000 bags (if we get a min of 10 people) as I believe a custom cut will require 10,000 bags min. 2) If interested in this group order, do you know of any reputable bag manufactures that can quote us a price. That way we all can get the best possible deal. What do you all think ?
redg8r
Is a thousand too many for you, or were you wanting to buy bigger lots for a better price break? Theres some links to suppliers in here, but I cant think of none off hand.
Tubeman
Red, I could handle 2000-3000 for myself. Its the availability of that size thats the problem. No one carries it as stock, yet they can make it for you on a custom order. Del and Chris mentioned an interest, but I need a few others to commit. I have a company here in Canada that produces awsome polypro bags for companies like Kalins and Hydra, just need 10,000 min for an order. On 10,000 the price would be much better as well, an added bonus.

Big Splash
Sounds like a good idea to me. I've been thinking we should get together for clamshells too.
Mylures
I might be interested in clamshells for smaller lures. I don't know if I would want to start out with 1000 but maybe 500. Lets see how much interest there is. Keep me posted.. Thanks Ken Schmitz Mylures

SRPLASTICS
As for requirements, is the 9x5, your inside usable space, 3 mil, vapor barrier, reclosable with hang hole, and actually a 9x4 would make your stores happier as it takes up less vertical space and you can put in more products on a wall, I have a quote for the above mentioned requirements that comes out to about 76 bucks per thousand with a minimum order of 20,000. As for clamshells, you generally do not need to purchase them by the thousands although you get a better price if you do. PLACON has a website http://www.placon.com/ and they have a generous stock of clamshell inventory.

Tubeman
I dont think Scott saw the message, I'll PM him...perhaps we can do this. The quote I was waiting for is a no go. I would still take 3000, perhaps if he's not interested we can get a team captain to do the ordering ?
SRPLASTICS
Sorry it took so long to get back, I am slammed with production. I will check with the manufacturer to make sure the numbers are right, it may be a cash up front deal, but I will clarify and post back. Again these are 9"x5" vapor barrier 2.8 mil with a ziplok type opening and a hang hole. Talk to you soon.
