Tierce12
Janns Netcraft has a unpainted crankbait body that looks a lot like some sort of Lucky Craft. Its called "2 1/4" Slim MD Crank". I was going to order some but it seems they are out of stock and have been for a long time! I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get these somewhere else? b75nweav
Be careful with those. I got 20 a while back, and after alot of painting I decided to try them out in the pool. Only 3 of them ran straight. Some of them I couldn't even tweak enough to get them to run straight.

b75nweav
I love their rattle shads. I painted a bunch up to give the guys at our classic this year. I use them all the time and haven't had a problem.
b75nweav
Sorry got my stores mixed up. I get the rattle shad from Stamina. I think janns are the same product though.
baitmaker2
The Norman blanks that Janns sells are pretty good, the others are not very good. I have had a lot of trouble getting them to run correctly. They do look good in the catalog but from my experiences they are not worth the money. I believe the crankbait you are talking about is not the slim crank but the fat cb...the fat cb is exclusive to janns and is as good a crankbait as I have used or painted...They are supposed to get a shipment mid December.... jcarman
I buy a lot of crankbait bodies from Stamina, Barlows, and Hagens. The foam bodies from Hagens do not swim very good, and the wire that forms the eyes is very soft and easily bent. I make most of my lures for muskie and stripers, so I am hesitant to use them at all. Stamina has a line of unpainted lures, but they have been out of the 7" for some time now. Barlows seems to have a good quantity in stock, but limited variety. Does anyone know where a guy could buy some jointed minnows bodies in 5 and or 7", and I am also looking for a pattern similar to the yozuri crystal minnow. I have found some in china, but the minimum order is 200 pieces. Maybe we could get a group from TU and make an order from china and split them up. The price is right and I have even had a few shipped for demo purposes and the quality seems very good too. Let me know if anyone knows where to find the here in the US and if not if anyone is interested in making an order from China! jeff

jcarman
Here is one of the links to their site overseas. These are all finished lures, but you can get them all unfinished too. Prices seem good. soft lures
bobv
Where did you find pricing? My browser blocked me from looking at the whole site. They do have some interesting baits.
oscarsteel
jcarman, How do contact these people? They have some bodies I am interested in. When I try to email them it says the email address is not working. :?Thanks for the info on this site.....Oscar
jcarman
Bobv/ Oscar...I got the prices by emailing them direct. You can find all of the importers at a site called alibaba.com, just search for fishing lures. The email contact for the lures I posted is: smg@public.qd.sd.cn They like to dicker and will tell you there minimum order is 3000 pieces...but keep pressuring them, they'll come down! cidgrad
But are they saying 3000 or 200 pieces mixed or all the same lure? Big difference there. 3000 of the same lure, you better have a good market. 3000 lures, but 20 different lures opens a few more doors for sales I would think. jcarman
I have talked them down to 200 lures of each color, thats the lowest I can get them to go. I am working with another company over there right now which specializes in "small orders". We are still in the honeymoon phase:lol: but I'll keep everyone updated.
