Neptune Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 SPEEDBUGGY, Both of the motors you referenced, have extremely short motor shafts, (approximately 5/16 inch long) which unless you have access to a metal lathe, you can not connect them accurately, so that there is no wobble on the lure turner. Even if you have access to a metal lathe, it will take you at least 4 hours to machine and tap the shaft couplers and to make the motor mount and the two necessary pulleys to either speed up, or slow down the lure turner shaft. And the foregoing assumes that you are an experienced machinist. Keep in mind that the pulleys will require accurate bearing surfaces to support the bearing. Save yourself a lot of time and money.
