Bassnutts
Caught my first few bass this morning on my own pours. There is no better feeling in fishing than catching them on something that you made. I gave some to my dad too and that was the only thing he caught fish on. I love it and can't wait to do more. Spike-A-Pike
Congrats on your new found success - wait until you catch your best fish ever on one of your own lures. That feeling transcends all the different types of lures made here by TU Members. The fact that that was the only lure your Dad was having luck on is just icing on the cake... And it tastes good, don't it. Continued good luck.
IamSpartacus
As Bruce said, wait until its your best fish. What an amazing feeling! Only took me two fish to get it too... still trying to top it. Congrats on your success man! Mike

Zbass
Bassnuts, I can't say it any better than the guys ahead of me. That feeling is what keeps me going. When you see others or hear of others catching them on your stuff is a rush too!! Keep pourin' and catchin'! Zbass
Mountain Man 26
It gets worse. You will next start pouring your own molds from POP and then move to hard baits and then... Congrats!
Richard Prager
The only thing better than catching fish on your own baits, is watching someone else do it too! Have fun!
daveh
your right richard. my fishing and hunting buddy always calls me before we go fishin to make sure i have enough curl tails poured. and when my buddys kid caught his first bass on my bait it was great. hawghunterbaits
way to go! I agree catching bass on your own baits is awesome. I have not brought a store brought bait in over two years. Also having someone tell you they won a tourament using one of your baits is even better that tells me I am doing something right. good luck! hammer1
It is great to catch big bass on your own creation, my personal best smallie 7.02 and biggest weight in a tourney I won 24.88 lbs was all on a bait I designed feels great! Zbass
hammer1 Where are you baggin' smallies of that nature? South or north? I'm guessing north from your avatar. Zbass
hammer1
Hi Zbass yes I live in Innisfil Ont. beside Lake Simcoe an awesome fishery! the only drawback is the season closes on Novemb.31st then I get tortured watching you southern guys beating on bass!LOL
patrick reif
i caught a 16" smallie on one of my hand poured senkos today. way too much floured salt on last weeks try(too stiff for tough conditions), but today panned out....i think i like it. the bait was a black neon senko that should have been a black grape. i put too much black in the cup, and decided to add red flake to the mix. it worked well enough to fool an animal with a brain the size of my pinkie nail, and i'm gonna say good enough for today. better luck tommorrow. when the water hits the 69 degree mark, i'm throwing some home poured swimbaits for muskies. it's right around the corner. patrick
