finfever
Need some input from ya'll. I'm looking for a good pot that is easily heat controlled, will hold a fair/good amount of plastic and fairly easy to use and clean. I like the pot mbroggi1 makes but i think thats a little to big for me right now but will have one in the next year or two. Any help/advice would be great. Thanks. RipLip
Finfever, my opinion is the pot mbroggi1 sells it pretty much and all around system. Even if you don't have an automatic stirrer you can heat 16oz or 96 ozs. at a time. It is real easy to clean(easier if your wife cleans it for you). The heat control seems to work fine for me and it pours real steady. On the other hand thats the only thing I have poured with so if there is anything out there better for the price maybe somebody will let you know. JSC
finfever ... for the money I don't think you can go wrong with the Presto Pot .. I have used as little as 8 oz at a time ... for the little bit more for an electric stirrer is well worth it to keep your mind on pouring and not stirring. I have Lees Pots (small) and the time it takes to stir and adjust Temp will drive you up the wall (well me any way and I may be 1/2 way there as it is) .. An important thing (to me) is to have a way to adjust the heigth of the pouring spout to the mold .. Open molds you need to be closer and on Closed You need it higher. My 2 cents worth hope it gives you something to go on. JSC

JSC
Hi I don't think you can get it much cheaper than a new one from "mbroggi1" .... I got mine some time ago from Ozark and added the stirring motor to it. (Got motor from Grainger) ... Or you can get the parts & put it together .... There are some good directions on a Candle pouring pot ... just place your valve at the bottom and not the side .... Hope that helps a little.
