kelly
I fill like a chump and a bit embarrassed. I procrastinate until today to pull it out look look look, then I ask my kids. Gee thats weird they know right where it is? Yes its out in the silo (i use a silo for storage) sitting right buy one of your boat anchors. I get there and its smashed with nothing on top of it. The poor funnel is almost flat but wrinkled and cracked on the seam. But the bolts are still in the wood but not straight. Then the alcohol burner glass it shattered. So to say the least I still have the top with the wick and cap. It did not take much to save it. But no jar to put it on, might be a loss any way. I truly do not know why but I am not mad at them. I just smile at my adventure today. Hes only five and not on drugs or talking back. I can get over looking like a chump. Thinking this would only take a few minutes, its my wifes b-day so I need to get back to that. I will try to whip one up tomorrow. Need a new one now. JSC
Kelly Nothing like kids to give us those "Adventuer Days" & it sounds like you have had one ... Ain't Kids great ??? My son helped me a little when he was young ... the oldest Gran Son "hung" leader rigs for me until he went off to college ... # 2 has to much other stuff to do, #3 will soon be a teenager and I think I might get a little work out of him ... he really loves fishing ... #4 the 9 year old I will more than likely get some work out of him .. All of them have given me a lot of ideas on some things to make and some on what I am doing wrong .. So you guys out there pay attention to those kids !! Been using the Alcohol Lamp (with out the Funnell) for awhile yesterday ... so far so good and I can see why funnelling the flame down would be great ... will wait on your picture so I will get it right with out having to do a lot of trial and error...... Have A Good One JSC (I like that line "5 years old and not on Drugs")
