just_plugging_away
This may sound weird, but a long time ago I bought a bunch of old beat up pewter dishes, cups, and pans from a scrap yard. pewter is a fancy name for tin. I do believe there is a small percentage of lead in the old pewter ware.
Richoc
Look under metals, welding, alloys, the phone book for supplier near you. Ask for sorces to call if they don't have it, should be able to lead you to it. Shop around before jumping in $ vary. But be ready for sticker shock. There are like 40 places to get it here in town, so these one near you. Also it melts at a lower temp than lead and doesn't shink as much in cooling. Buy a differnt pot to use it in. Party Crasher
I have obtained it from junk yards in the form of tubing. I prefer new tin in one pound bars. I get mine from Acro Sales in Menomonee Falls, WI. 262-781-8940.

Boomer
Companies for bullet reloaders (actually bullet molders) often have tin. One that comes to mind is Midway , but there are many others.
