hazmail
Has anyone come up with a sure fire down rigger release clip? I only use them for trout up to about 5lb, but average is about 2lb. The commercial clips seem to be made for much bigger fish, and I always have trouble setting them, and usually they don't release. I have been mucking around for years with clothes pegs, alligator clips, you name it, anything with a spring. Just thought maybe someone has come up with a home brew version, THAT WORKS. pete

hazmail
I didn't see those, I just bought 2 on fleabay (Au) for $23 delivered, which I thought was cheap, as Scotty plastic relese clips cost $8-9 here. Thanks anyway Swede. pete
