kidlizard
Who has experimented with the glow in the dark pigments? Is any one better than the other? How much does it take? Do you recommend it? Thanks John
cavu
I have used the glow powder paint supplied by Component systems. It glows great, but colors do not show thru clearly. I have some of the glow powder that you add to the paint, but have not ried it yet.
alsworms
I bought some glow powder for soft plastics from Lure Craft awhile back and I couldn't tell any difference at all. The baits looked the same, even in water. They recommended using 1/4 teaspoon for 4 ounces of plastic. My last try was 1 full teaspoon and I still had no change. I would like to figure out a way to get a glow on some of the darker colors without adding chartreuse to everything.
docirv
I wonder, if it is a luminescing powder, you might have to hold the baits up to a strong light to "charge" them to be able to glow. You might want to try that and see if it hleps. Then, again, I could be, as usual, wrong again.
Delw
I used that stuff(from lure craft) for painting spoons and a few deep cranks. it works fantastic. its been over a year now and I still have a few spots in my garage that when the lights go out it glows. Kid was learning to airbruch, yeah thats how the spots got there. Delw
Mercury
I used it in the plastic, but if you use anything other than transparent colors it doesnt work well. ie chartreuce, flo yellow, signal green It also adds to it a yellow/green tint to the color you are using. MarshManiaC
I've used the stuff from LS and TC and mix it in with the plastic. it works great in an off green and off pink color I've been pouring. I used them over the holiday under near-dark conditions and they worked very well.
alsworms
I only tried it in watermelon and green pumpkin. Probably why it didn't work.
kidlizard
Thanks guys, I think it will be worth a try. I had assumed it would have to be "charged" in order to glow strongly. does anyone know if a blacklight charges the powder?
