Mold for weighting swimbait hooks

Recommended Posts

This does not really answer the specific question. But fly tye-ers' use a lead wire that is wrapped around the shank of the hook to add weight before tying. So many wraps would equal certain weights.

Another option would be a bondo mold. I just made my first bondo mold the other day of a vertical jig, and it turned out pretty good. Fairly easy to do.

Hello,

in the moment I use copper wire to weight my hooks. I weld the ends together and paint it black. But I hope I find a mold, wich enables to produce weights with a profile like a wing of an airplane to get more buoyancy for fishing near the top of the water.

Bye, Dietmar
