clamboni
I like the fluorescent yellow for Chartreuse. Might also mix a little fluorescent green with the yellow if you want.
Downriver Tackle
how do i mix createx paints to make a chartruese or anything close? would greatly appreciate it, thanks guys You can't mix to get flourescent colors. Cartreuse is a single pigment.
BobP
JMHO, like Clamboni sez, don't get actual chartreuse Createx. It's an ugly greenish yellow. The Createx fluorescent yellow is a clean bright shade.
Downriver Tackle
There lies the age-old question. Which is chartreuse! ???? LOL I've had a few old-timers beeeoootch because they ordered chartreuse and I gave them Createx Flo Yellow. They wanted that ugly green shaded Flo Yellow. That takes a shot of Flo green in Flo yellow to get that color.
BJBarron
JMHO. I shade colors for a paint company for a liveing and in my experiance. When you have a single colored pigment man made or natural they are going to tell you the color you see but also there is more than one color in it. Heres the problem when shadings custom colors like the one listed Under tones! They can be your friend or your worst nightmare. The problem with yellow is when compared one at a time they looks the same but when put directly side by side poloar opposits. Most yellows will either be on the green side or the red side. The one the thread is about is on the green side. So just stay on the green side and call it what you want. If the flr. green does not get you there fast enoghf our your dont like it try a trace of blue it will give you a little more green undertone. albion9
There are two shades of chartreuse...a green and a yellow. I have found that my personal favorite is the green variant. Here is a link to a company that sells both. Good Luck. Component Systems Inc. - Vinyl Paints for Fishing Lures
