I dip the bait into clear plastic when done. like you would do a hollow swim bait. I also drop 3 bb's in the front as the plastic begins to cool. I found the bait needs to be keel weighted. That may be because I dip them in clear. I am not sure. I also use the lake Fork hooks on them. I can imagine that any swim bait hook will do. The action on the bait is awsome. The look great.
