Brshpile
I have poured up over 200 hammered spoons. The question I have is how do you guys go about painting them. I tried to powder coat them but you can only do one half at a time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would spraypainting and them devcon work? basskat
I don't understand why you can't powder paint both sides at once, I powder paint 99% of mine. Do you use a fluid bed? Years ago I did paint with an air brush and used Devcon as a top coat. Biggest problem is it will run if not rotated. Yo can get more detail with an air brush but most spoons don't last long enough for people to worry about a lot of detail.
Brshpile
I do use a fluid bed but the problem is when you grab it out of the oven with hemos and then dip it into the bed you only get half of it. And then that has to cool to touch it.
Basseducer
Brshpile, To solve your problem you need to get a deeper cup for your fluid bed. I like to spray on my powder paint. You can get some really cool effects this way. Some of the guys here do some really great stuff. Then if you want to add scales, eyes or other stuff you can use createx, vinyl paint and finish with clear.
