tylerd1994
I got this mold and I was wondering why it won't come out right. I believe its the 6 inch. I poured as small and as steady as I could but for 4 straight times only half of the worm came out which was the bottom half. The rest was just a little string of plastic. How should I pour this to get it to work. Also you just pull the worm out of the mold right???
JDBaits
Alum mold or the rtv? Edit: Duhhhhh Im pretty sure you mean the rtv mold, your problem is you are pulling it out of the mold too early. To pour this one cavity mold you need to pour then retop the mold as needed, when it no longer needs to be retopped walk away and give it about 5 minutes to cool before you pull it out of the mold. loco
i have the smaller mold. i have poured it a few times and have had some success. ive found that its best to slightly lean the mold to the side.....just a little by placing it in a glass or jar. let it rest on the jar and pour the plastic so that it hits the inside of the mold and runs down to the bottom. you will have to top the mold off a few times. pour it slow so there is no air bubbles or blank space in the middle of the pour. fill it from the bottom up slowly..... tylerd1994
yeah i also just cut the excess pouring area off the top and put it in a little bowl thing to hold it up and i poured real slow and it turned out. I think I may have been squeezing the mold a little cause I was trying to hold it up straight.
MONKEYqpHUNTER
I also have a few of these molds.notice there is a small vent hole on the bottom make sue its not cloged up and dont sit it flat on the table this will stop the air flow.these are a lil harder to pour by hand because the plastic stream touchs the side and the cavity gets smaller as the plastic bulids up .much more easy to do if poured with the poureing pots.also if pouring by hand with pyrex cup make the plastic a lil hoter the thin plastic will make a faster smaller stream.hope this helps............. Poor Boy's Woman
All of these guys have good points. If you still can't get it, call and talk with my husband, Shawn, and he will be happy to help you!!! The keys are to have the plastic a little hotter than usual and to pour a little slower than usual too.

daakiy01
I had a hard time with this mold as well until I realized that I could use the Netcraft injector to fill it from the bottom. The worms come out fine now. Good Luck!
