HJS
Dave - Nice looking baits. I've tried 2-tones like the one second from the right, using a 1-piece mold, but they didn't turn out very good. Question: Does the green lure on the far right ride hook up or down? And is that some sort of wobble-bill on the jighead? Never seen that before, looks interesting.
daveh
i did the 2 color bait in a one piece mold. the head on the green fluke is a modified scrounger head. the scrounger head gives the fluke a back and fourth motion like it is swimimng. arron martins brought the scrounger head back. i think its been around for awhile. i will post a link. i also add a cap full of LC hardener to 4oz of plastic for flukes. makes them run better on the scrounger. the hook rides up http://www.basstackledepot.com/aaronmartensscrounger.aspx Edited October 10, 2008 by daveh

I seem to remember either the entire jig or just the plastic 'hood' being available a long time ago - maybe twenty years. It never caught on then but maybe it is going to do better the second time around.
daveh
i pour flukes for a couple tourney fisherman and they love the scrounger head. one guy just fished the b.a.s.s. southern open in alabama over the weekend. he was using my fluke in baby bass on that head and couldn`t keep the bass off it but no keepers. he did come in 14 place and caught the purilator big bass on the last day. the topwater frog bite was on and his main sponcer is snag proof so he threw that most. he did catch a few keepers on my buzz frog. he was throwing my 5 in fluke but wish he had the bigger 7in. i have it on order but has not come in for his tourney. i have caught a few bass on that jig but just started using it.
