JeffJ
I am pouring some baits on some single sided LC molds and the finish on the sides on the baits are dull. The bottom has a nice finish to them. Is there something I can do to fix this or is it just normal?
GB GONE
Do a search on this topic as we have talked about it before. Baking in the oven at looooooow temp I believe was one solution. Using WD-40 to re-condition the molds was another suggested from LC. Might be more out there though... Jim
JSC
A Light Coat of Worm Oil will do the job. JSC
JeffJ
So do I just coat the inside of the mold before I pour each worm? I tried to search for the subject but came up empty.
nova
I would contact Kim at Lurecraft for advice since they are the ones who made the molds. I'm sure they would gladly help you. I do know that if you use salt in your formula, this will dull the finish after a while. www.novalures.com
JeffJ
Ok I will contact them. No salt used, these are brand new molds. All 3 are doing it to me.
Delw
Jims right there was a very good post by al's worms on this subject not to long ago. do a search for als worms. Bake them at a very low temp. it will pull the oils out and make the baits shiney again. its good for a few hundred pours and I believe you can bake them upto 3 or 4 times.
