bob's 4 inch swimbait

how does it swim? would you recommend it? how do you guys rig it?

It is a sweet little bait, swims good hard to explain exactly how but the closest thing I can think of would be a reaction inovations skinny dipper. Rigging I have found best on a regular jig head, but it can be rigged weedless on a weighted EXG hook. Only thing I would change is I would add a belly slot to make it easier to rig the bait weedless.

I'm not sure Bob makes it in a 4", but I had his 5" model with the hook slot piece. Email Bob he may be able to make you a 4" model with the hook slot insert. I rigged it with the normal Mustad BLN hook with the screw lock. It swims good and is basically a Basstrix type paddletail bait without the headache of dipping.

I pour it with the medium plastic and actually add softner about half of the time. They are a good little bait.

Also he may be talking about Bob making a 5" bait I have two molds from Bob that he does not show on his website, but will sell if asked. I would ask him if he makes the 4" with a hook slot and it would be ideal.

That is the exact bait I'm talking about. Here is a picture of Bob's 5" mold w/hook slot piece. I hope I resized it the right way. The only reason I suggested the hook slot version is you can pour multiple colors much easier.
