blades
.. when trying to catch 200 pounders. This was my day after Christmas present to myself. A Mustad 3/0 hook to the index finger. One slip of the needlenose while making a spinnerbait and whammo! Oh well, at least the hook was red to go with the Christmas holiday. deadlystreamer
Ahhh!! Man that hurts to even look at it. Seeing the picture I can almost feel it.. Did you say "oh darn!" ya, I'll bet. LOL That finger will be sore for a few days. Happy New year and keep the hooks out of the flesh.
blades
Believe it or not it happened so quick it hardly hurt at all. It's a little sore now but I've been back building baits with it already.
WidowMaker
Did you pull it out backwards or did you push it on through? Did you go ahead and use the same hook or throw it away and get another one?
deadlystreamer
blades, That's good to hear. I'll bet you hold your needlenose a little tighter, or should I say the hook? It kind of goes with the business doesn't it. How does that go? Play with fire, get burned, play with hooks, and get hooked! OK, I'll stop!! blades
I was unable to get it turned to bring it back out. I had to visit the good old emergency room. I've stuck myself like that before, (fishing, not building) and was able to get it turned and clip the barb off with side cutters. No cigars this time unfortunately. blades
Nah, I couldn't reuse it since they had to cut the barb off.
